Bitchin’ Blog

Well well well! Here is my first blog. T-shirts, t-shirts, t-shirts. In the end this is what we do to make a living. Blogs I have read from other screen printing companies are basically for technical weenies; not to say this is a bad thing, but it does get boring. So I have decided to enter the blogosphere in a different way compared with my contemporaries. At the very least, it will be great therapy. So here it goes…

I’m not really sure exactly what a blog is. I think I know… but then again does anybody really know? You got your blog, your tweets, your facebook, and myspace. I’m not sure what all this stuff means. But I’m pretty sure in the end that it dilutes the human experience. Virtual friendships are something that is really NOW. I mean does everybody really need this much information about us; especially when so many of these people in this virtual world that are supposed to be friends, may not in fact be real friends – like in the old days. You know, it gives me pause for thought, if I was a conspiracy freak I might think that the NSA came up with this masterful plan to keep an eye on everyone; kind of like the church because after all, many of these blogs and comments on the social network sites seem to be a confessional. Is this the new religion? Hard tellin’ not knowin’.

What says you?????

    I say Amen, brother.

  2. To this I say:welcome to the virtual world of mass information and ease of access. Though not always a secure means of relaying information and building lasting relationships, communication has come a long way and we welcome you to our world.

Social networking has become a therapeutic endeavor allowing people to air their dirty laundry to the masses leaving at times much to be desired. For those like me who enjoy the art of communication through verbal stimulation this is a far cry but non the less, is becoming a requirement amongst the new age kids. So I embrace this new form of communication the with caution on my side!

This is a good start to a promising chronicle…let’s hear more.

I say that in these here and now technical times, a lot is lost but also much is gained. I perfer being able to talk face to face with someone much more then seeing little black letter on a screen. I can hear the tone of their voice, see body language and really understand what they are trying to portray rather then loosing the essence of the topic in a mistranslation via e-mail, chat box or text. With that being said I often find myself refering to these more technical forms of communication because lets face it 9 times out of 10 its easier, perfered and faster. I saw a show on tv not that long ago that was talking about todays youth and the forseen issues that they would be running into because of this constant techcommunication. Spelling issues because of the constant use of acronyms and lack of vowels was the main focus and I totaly agree.
Either way I think that communication in this day and age is a benifit over what it used to be but if we dont keep an eye on it its going to be a HUGE downfall.
